The danger Upoc predators like Daniel Thrift aka "subzerorains" pose to children online cannot be overstated. When arrested , he was in posession of condoms, lubricating gel, and a list with 30 or more regional, underage girls on it with their names, addresses, and other personal details. He'd also brought the baby wipes the decoy had asked for.

He had previously been arrested for this exact same activity, but those charges were dropped by his local sheriff's office in 2002.  He was exposed by a famous "Dateline NBC" online watchdog group in 2005, no charges resulted.

UPDATE: Today, March 22, 2006, Thrift was sentenced in Mobile, Alabama federal court to eight years in prison, issued lifetime parole after release, and a lifetime ban from the internet. Two of our staffers were in attendance.

This is a guy that was found in Upoc, which Upoc went out of it's way to protect. We reported this user to Upoc management for two years, presented proof of his activities, and all they did was delete our "underage" decoy accounts...

Here's Thrift's current Upoc profile, he's still a member in good standing of course. He'd also be active, and still be trolling for little girls there too -- IF he wasn't sitting in Federal prison. What's THAT tell you about Upoc?

This arrest and conviction should serve as a clear message to a host of pukes out there who want to use the internet to troll for underage kids. DON'T DO IT.... We are watching...

UPDATE: Upoc recently deleted the subzerorains account. It's good to see they're reading our site, however we imagine their motivations for deleting the account have more to do with trying to cover up their enabling involvement than anything else.
